Jen

Occupational Therapist

Jen graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2018. She also holds a Diploma of Professional Counselling, Advanced Diplomas in Community Services Management and Remedial Massage (Myotherapy), and a Level 4 Certificate in Workplace Training and Assessing. Prior to all this further learning, Jen worked as a Division 2 Registered Nurse for 17 years, primarily in public hospitals.

Jen’s career and educational background reflect her passion for continuous learning and her desire to connect meaningfully with people. It’s no surprise that she found her calling in Occupational Therapy.

Before joining the Will & Way team, Jen worked as an Occupational Therapist in both private and public community sectors, mainly supporting older adults. She has strong skills in goal setting, home modification and equipment prescription, falls risk reduction and capacity building.

Jen enjoys building positive therapeutic relationships with her clients and helping them find the best solutions for their needs. Her can-do attitude, and high level of accountability and efficiency make her a woman of action: she gets the job done!

Outside of work, Jen enjoys camping trips and bushwalking. She is also part of a book club and admits to occasionally “cheating” by watching the movie when she hasn’t had time to read the book. To overcome her fear of needles, Jen became a regular blood donor, finding the snacks provided a helpful distraction!
